Terms of Service

These terms are meant to be readable. Using Moonlighting means you agree to them; if something here is unclear, ask us at support@tsukinosoftware.com.

Your account

One account per person; keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You must be at least 16 to use Moonlighting.

Plans, trials, and billing

Every account starts with a 14-day free trial of everything, no card required.
After the trial: $5/month bring-your-own-key or $20/month Managed. Billing is monthly through Stripe, and you can cancel at any time; you keep what you paid for through the end of the paid period.
The Managed plan includes 100 AI generations a month within a monthly fair-use compute allowance; reaching either pauses Managed AI until the 1st. Bring-your-own-key use is never capped by us.
If your trial ends or a subscription lapses, AI generation and new job matches pause. Everything you saved remains readable and exportable. We never delete your data for not paying.
Prices can change; existing subscribers get email notice at least 30 days before a change affects them.

Bring your own key

Your API keys stay yours, under your provider agreements. You pay the provider directly for usage, and their rates and terms are theirs, not ours.
In-app cost estimates are estimates. Your provider's bill is the truth.

Your content

Everything you put in (resumes, notes, contacts, applications) remains yours. You give us only the license needed to store and process it to run the service for you.
We do not use your content to train AI models.
Only enter contact details of other people if you have a legitimate reason to hold them, such as a recruiter you are actually corresponding with.

AI output, honestly

AI-generated resumes, letters, and briefings can be wrong, outdated, or oddly confident. Review everything before you send it to a real human. You are the author of what you submit; Moonlighting is a drafting tool, not career, legal, or financial advice.
Job postings come from third-party boards and feeds; we cannot guarantee a listing is accurate, current, or real. Applications always happen at the source site, on their terms.

Fair use

Don't use Moonlighting to break the law, spam, scrape or resell the service or its data, probe other users' data, or route around usage limits. We can suspend accounts that do, with notice when practical, and always with your data export available.

The unavoidable legal part

Moonlighting is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We work hard on reliability, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA.
If we make material changes to these terms, account holders get email notice before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the changes.
